Bryan Smith General "AL" ladder in this case indicated which ladder it was. Cars have 2 ends...A end and B end. "B" end is the end where the brake wheel is located. "A" end would be the other end....kinda simple when you think about it. Left and right side is also determined by the brake wheel.
