A combination store/house (Scarborough's) sat behind the Lineville depot on the southwest side of the building. To the right, in this view, is the Gulf Oil Distributorship owned by J. B. Crews. Just out of sight, to the left of the door, is the certified scale used to weigh Lineville consigned freight

Sherri Wheat General I lived in this house from the age of 7 to 9 back in 1987-1989. We rented so that's why we didn't live very long in it but to this day,it's one of my favorite childhood memories. My mother is originally from Lineville and remembers the Scarborough's and the store. While we lived there, the storeroom was my playroom and boy,did I have fun riding my bike around and around the room as well as playing school there.I remember there is a storm shelter in the backyard that I would play in often as well. The house burned down several years ago and I sadly have no pictures of it. Do you think you may have more photos of the house? I would appreciate it greatly if you could please check.Thank you so much,Sherri 6/23/2013 11:02:18 PM
