Seaboard Coast Line caboose #0717 tied down on Sentell Spur
Sentell Spur was the usual "tie-down" location for the Lineville Road-Switcher locomotive and caboose. In previous years, a lumber mill had been located on this track which was blocked at the end by a large pile of sawdust. My grandfather, the Lineville Supervisory Agent-Operator, would get several buckets of this sawdust each spring and use it as the secret ingredient as he prepared his garden soil for planting his tomato plants !!
